Day 15 of 365

32 Followers...Go get them!

Forward this blog to just one or two of your friends! It just takes a minute;)

(Here's how the story begins:  http://ruthperkinson.blogspot.com/2011/01/day-1-of-365anyone-want-to-come-along.html)

Remember the goal: Finding a producer or celeb or anyone who will help make Piper's Someday (the book River stars in) into a movie...

River's words of wisdom for today: "Love everyone - even if they are cat lovers."

So, today, I had the rare and privileged opportunity to meet a Richmond entrepreneur, Kevin Clay. He is the headmaster of GayRVA http://www.gayrva.com/ which is a great resource for everyone gay or not who wants to know what's hip, what's hot, and what's going on in the Richmond (and Virginia) gay scene. Click on the site and become a follower...it's really good.

Kevin is a handsome man. He showed up toting a computer and a camera.
River and I suddenly felt official and I was wondering if I needed more makeup.

So, our first interview went by so well that I wanted to adopt Kevin by the end of it all and give him a soft throw and watch the next episode of Oprah together. He's got a great story himself and I wish him all the luck in the world with his great Richmond adventure and will support him in anything he does. If a gay guy comes to meet a lesbian author and her dog (he's a cat lover), then he gets in the will.

Kevin asked pointed questions about River's story, my books, and our vision quest. His story on River will be out sometime next week. The best thing about Kevin is that...

he gets it.

More on that later...River is going to have chemotherapy tomorrow. Her first round.

If you guys are out there reading this, please pass this blog along and share River's story.

We love you for doing it.
